Open Book Learning Center (OBLC) presently offers K-12 mathematics, Lower Division college level mathematics, and test prep services for students and teachers.
OBLC offers face-to-face and online sessions.
OBLC makes the following recommendations:
PreK - K.................. 30 min/ Twice
Grades 1 - 2.................. 30 min/ Twice
Grades 3 - 5.................. 45 – 60 min / Twice
Grades 6 - 7.................. 45 – 60 min / Twice
Grade 8 – Pre-Algebra.................. 45 – 60 min / Twice
High School Algebra I – Algebra II.................. 1 hr / Twice
High School Geometry – Trigonometry.................. 1 hr / Twice
Teacher Certification.................. Hourly / Student Choice
Resources used by OBLC will be determined by tutees needs. A mix of selected OBLC selected materials and any schoolwork samples the tutee provides.
Yes, OBLC uses standards-based curriculum as a guide to providing quality, relevant, and current researched-based/evidenced-based instruction. OBLC also references National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), local district, and state principles and standards to ensure proper coverage and relevancy.
OBLC does not provide tutoring in reading at this time. Please feel free to check for updates we hope to be offering it soon.

You are allowed to cancel and reschedule make-up sessions. Make-up sessions must occur within a week.
You are able to pay for sessions using a credit or debit card. You can choose to pay week to week or on a monthly basis.
***Payments: 1. Monthly payments are due on the first of the month, a month in advance.
2. Weekly paying clients must pay a week in advance.
